Hashbrown Casserole

1 32 oz bag hashbrowns, frozen
1 pt. sour cream (8 oz)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 chopped small onion
dash of garlic powder
2 C. shredded cheddar cheese
Topping:
1 stick melted margarine or butter
1/3 C. corn flakes
Mix ingredients and place in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Top with melted margarine/butter and corn flakes. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Try dehydrated onions and Tastefully Simple's Garlic Garlic. Recipe freezes well too.
