scholarship

The first scholarship opportunity is available through our wholesale power supplier, Basin Electric Power Cooperative. This is a $1,000 scholarship, awarded to one (1) of Calhoun County Electric Cooperative's applicants each year. Any student who is a dependent of a Calhoun County Electric Cooperative member is eligible to apply for the scholarship. The application period for this year is now over.

These scholarships are considered an investment in the economic future of rural areas. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honours, work experience, and a statement of education and career goals. The scholarships must be used for educational costs, and the student must attend college in the fall of the school year for which the scholarship is awarded.
