Calhoun County Electric Cooperative is excited to offer new ways to connect with our members. In order to better serve you, these services and notifications are now available by text or email:
- Maintenance and planned outage notifications
- Major outage updates
- Paperless billing/electronic statement notifications
General Notifications: Notifications will be sent as a SMS text message. May include maintenance/planned outages, outage updates, upcoming events, etc.
Cell phone number is required to receive general notifications.
Electronic Statement Notifications: Notification when statement/payment has been received.
Email address is required to receive electronic statement notifications.
Only one paper bill statement will be mailed per account. All contacts can enroll in electronic statements if desired.
You may enroll multiple numbers/emails per account to receive notifications - spouse, family member, etc.
By completing this agreement, you specifically request, expressly consent to receive, and authorize CCECA ("the Cooperative"), its affiliates, business associates, and service providers to deliver, or cause to be delivered, emails, and SMS/text to your cell phone or email. This could result in charges to you according to your data plan. These messages will be related to electric service and other purposes including but not limited to, for the purpose of notifying you of planned and unplanned service outages; updates about service outages and restoration; notification of meter work, tree trimming or other field work and energy programs; communications that warn about payment or other issues that threaten your electric service; and collecting any amounts you may owe. If at any point you change or obtain a new cell phone number or email address, or if you no longer maintain the phone number or email address you originally provided to us, you agree to notify the Cooperative immediately. Your information will not be shared with anyone outside of the Cooperative.
